CROMWELL, CT (July 31, 2014) — C. Ernest Harman, 97, died on Tuesday, July 29. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grayce (Bortner) Harman.
Born in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Charles Luther and Jennie (Beattry) Harman.
According to the New Britain Herald, Rev. Harman pastored the Peoples Church in New Britain, Connecticut, for many years and served as a chaplain at several local hospitals and nursing homes. He later served as associate pastor for visitation at Bethany Covenant Church in Berlin, Connecticut, until his retirement in 1985.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Covenant Village of Cromwell. Memorial gifts may be made to Bethany Covenant Church, 785 Mill St., Berlin, Connecticut, or The Benevolent Care Fund of CVOC.
