CAYAMBE, ECAUDOR (July 11, 2016) – Covenant missionary Joel
Delp said, “We were a bit freaked out” by two earthquakes that struck off the country’s coast Sunday night, but no harm was done.
The earthquakes measured 5.9 and 6.4 magnitude, struck 10 minutes
apart, and were aftershocks of an earthquake that killed hundreds of people in April, according to the United States Geological Survey.
“Because it was two right in a row, it made you feel like you didn’t know what was coming next,” Delp said. “It’s mainly the people out on the coast who are really frightened by these kinds of things, which is understandable, to say the least.”
