Covenanters Can Give Online for Louisiana Disaster Aid

flood photoCHICAGO, IL (August 20, 2016) – The Love Mercy Do Justice (LMDJ) ministry priority and Covenant World Relief are providing financial assistance to relief efforts in Louisiana, as that state seeks to recover from what has been called the worst natural disaster in the United States since Hurricane Sandy. So far, 40,000 homes have been damaged and there have been 30,000 water rescues.

Disaster declarations have been made in 20 of Louisiana’s 64 counties. Government officials say the state will face its most serious housing crunch since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Covenanters who want to contribute to the relief work can donate online to the LMDJ Disaster Relief Fund. Love Mercy Do Justice coordinates with regional conferences and congregations as they work with partners in areas struck by disaster.
