What Were the Reformers Thinking?

CHICAGO, IL (September 23, 2016) – Whether the leaders of the Protestant Reformation got their biblical interpretation correct, as well as the Apostle Paul’s thinking on how the brain and Holy Spirit work together, will be among the topics presented at North Park Theological Seminary’s Lund Lectures on Wednesday and Thursday, September 28-29.

Lectures will begin at 9 a.m. both days. They are free and open to the public. They also will be webcast.

Susan Eastman, associate research professor of New Testament at Duke Divinity School, will speak Wednesday on “Paul and Personal Flourishing.”

Iain Provan, Marshal Sheppard Professor of Biblical Studies at Regent College, will speak on Thursday and will address the topic of “Were the Reformers Wrong? Some Reflections on Protestant Biblical Interpretation.”
