Bethany Insurance Enrollment Still Open

CHICAGO, IL (January 26, 2017) – Open enrollment for pastors and qualified Covenant employees who desire to receive medical insurance coverage through Bethany Benefit Service remains available through February 15.

Benefits will start on the first day of the month following the date the application is received.

“Bethany Benefit Service has seen an increase in enrollment from local Covenant churches, as treasurers and pastors recognize that the quality of the benefits offered has the ability to protect pastors and church staff from financial hardship in times of physical hardship,” said Christina Kempe, benefits coordinator.

The Bethany plan provides coverage for medical, dental, vision, and prescriptions as well as life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and long-term disability to ECC church, camp, and conference staff working at least twenty hours per week.

Visit Bethany Benefit Service online to view a complete outline of benefits.

If church employees or pastors are enrolled in an Affordable Care Act marketplace plan or their spouse’s employer plan, they are encouraged to enroll in Bethany Benefit Service life and long-term disability benefits. (Vision and dental are also available.) If they are enrolled in life and long-term disability with BBS, they may add health insurance at any time in the year if they become dis-enrolled from their other health insurance.

Call (800) 313-8955 or email bethany@covchurch.org for an application.
