26 ECC Churches Removed from Roster

DETROIT, MI (June 23, 2017) — Twenty-six churches from six conferences were removed from denominational membership this morning during the 132nd Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

EAST COAST CONFERENCE

Emmanuel Covenant Church in Nashua, New Hampshire
The church joined the Covenant in 1991 and had 41 members when it closed.

PACIFIC SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE

Murphys Covenant Church in Murphys, California
The church joined the Covenant in 1951 and had 31 members when it closed.

Catalyst, An Evangelical Covenant Church, in Los Angeles, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2010 and had 40 members when it closed.

Jesus, The Recreator Covenant Church in San Jose, California
The church joined in 2014. Membership was not established.

Newsong North Orange County, in Fullerton, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2008 and had 25 members when it closed.

Vista Covenant Church (AKA Oak Hills Covenant Church) in Vista, California
The church joined the Covenant in 1992 and had 33 members when it closed.

Grace Life Church in Los Angeles, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2016 and had a membership of 25 when it closed.

Cuidad Cristiana Covenant Church in Torrance, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2007. Membership was not established.

CENTRAL CONFERENCE

Community Evangelical Church in Chicago, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 2009, and had 30 members when it withdrew.

Centro Cristiano El Poder Del Amor in Berwyn, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 2015 and had 10 members when it withdrew.

SOUTHEAST CONFERENCE

All Nations Covenant Church in Norcross, Georgia
The church joined the Covenant in 2008 and had 800 members when it withdrew.

Kingdom Covenant Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia
The church joined the Covenant in 2014 and had 55 members when it closed.

Fellowship Covenant Church in Miami, Florida
The church joined the Covenant in 1996 and had an unknown membership when it closed.

Java Journey in Hickory, North Carolina
The church joined the Covenant in 1996 and had 10 members when it closed.

Bayshore Covenant Church in Bradenton, Florida
The church joined the Covenant in 1969 and had 44 members when it closed.

GREAT LAKES CONFERENCE

Mulberry Covenant Church in Sneedville, Tennessee
The church joined the Covenant in 1953 and had 41 members when it withdrew.

MIDSOUTH CONFERENCE

Journey Covenant Church in Norman, Oklahoma
The church joined the Covenant in 2002 and had 5,287 members when it withdrew.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

Grace Harbor Covenant Church in Aberdeen, Washington
The church joined the Covenant in 1893 and had 18 members when it closed.

Dundee Covenant Church in Dundee, Oregon
The church joined the Covenant in 2008 and had 55 members when it closed.

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

Emmaus Road Covenant Church in Hopkins, Minnesota

Good Shepherd Covenant Church in Blaine, Minnesota

The church was founded in 1877 and had 48 members when it closed.

Journey Covenant Church in Liberty, Missouri
The church joined the Covenant in 2000 and had 66 members when it closed.

South Sudan Covenant Church in Des Moines, Iowa
The church joined the Covenant in 1999 and had no members when it closed.

Relevant Word Ministries in Colorado Springs, Colorado
The church joined the Covenant in 2008 and had 367 members when it withdrew.
