Vikings Advance to Final Four

CHICAGO, IL (November 20, 2017) – The North Park University Vikings reached the Final Four of the NCAA Division III men’s soccer championship when they won their 20th straight match on Sunday, defeating the University of St. Thomas 1-0.

The match snapped a 19-game winning streak for the fourth-ranked Tommies (22-2).

The lone goal came in the 30th minute when freshman Shatil Khoury flicked a shot past the St. Thomas goalie.

The Vikings outshot St. Thomas 20-9. Ten of North Park’s shots were on goal, while St. Thomas had only six.

The Vikings (20-1-1) will take on University of Chicago (17-2) in the semifinal match on December 1 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The finals will be the following day.

It is the fifth-ranked Vikings’ first trip to the Final Four.
