Pastors Invited to Engage ‘Life Together’ at Midwinter

CHICAGO, IL (January 19, 2018) — In a season of major transition for the ECC community, organizers of next week’s Midwinter clergy conference are providing an intentional way for pastors to engage with each other during the event. The result is a reimagined format for the Wednesday-morning plenary session.

Now titled “Life Together,” the 9:15 a.m. session will be devoted to a focused time of conversation and prayer. All Midwinter registrants are invited to participate.

“The purpose is to create a space for intentionally sharing our stories and expressing faith in the context of Christian community to advance our common mission,” said an ECC spokesperson. “It will be a facilitated experience with three movements—gratitude, lament, and hope.”

The session organizers received input from a number of Covenant pastors in creating this interactive experience. Their prayer is that it would be “a safe environment” and give participants “an opportunity to listen and be heard as we reflect on our mission together.”
