14 ECC Churches Removed from Roster

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (June 22, 2018) – Fourteen churches from six conferences were removed from denominational membership this morning during the 133rd Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

ALASKA CONFERENCE

The River Covenant in Kenai, Alaska
The church joined the Covenant in 2012 and had 18 members when it closed.

CENTRAL CONFERENCE

Chicago Woori Church in Schaumburg, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 2014 and had 6 members when it closed.

Sojourner Covenant Church in Evanston, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1891 and had 25 members when it closed.

Evangelical Covenant Church of Portage in Portage, Indiana
The church joined the Covenant in 1873 and had 51 members when it closed.

EAST COAST CONFERENCE

Bethlehem Covenant Church in Worcester, Massachusetts
The church joined the Covenant in 1894 and had 30 members when it merged.

GREAT LAKES CONFERENCE

First Covenant Church in Cadillac, Michigan
The church joined the Covenant in 1880 and had 64 members when it withdrew.

Evangelical Covenant Church in Ridgway, Pennsylvania
The church joined the Covenant in 1884 and had 27 members when it closed.

Life Church of Mt. Juliet in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee
The church joined the Covenant in 2013 and had 38 members when it closed.

MIDWEST CONFERENCE

Colorado Ridge Church in Westminster, Colorado
The church joined the Covenant in 1998 and had 54 members when it closed.

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

Elim Evangelical Covenant Church in Stockholm, South Dakota
The church joined the Covenant in 1896 (organized in 1883) and had 9 members when it withdrew.

First Covenant Church in Ashland, Wisconsin
The church joined the Covenant in 1894 (organized in 1892) and had 21 members when it closed.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

Martha Lake Covenant Church in Lynnwood, Washington
The church joined the Covenant in 1951 and had 16 members when it closed.

PACIFIC SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE

Great Exchange Covenant Church (GRX Union City) in Union City, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2012 and had 25 members when it merged.

Creekside Community Covenant Church in San Leandro, California
The church joined the Covenant in 1990 and had 479 members when it withdrew.
