Fire Relief Donations Sought

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Paradise was destroyed by the blaze.

CONCORD, CA (November 13, 2018) – The Pacific Southwest Conference is accepting donations for fire relief through Bayside Covenant Church in Northern California.

Donors can contribute at a special giving page. People who want to contribute by check can mail them to LMDJ/ECC, 8303 W. Higgins, Chicago, IL 60631. Please write “fire relief” in the memo line.

Bayside is partnering with the Salvation Army, local churches, as well as Convoy of Hope and other nonprofit organizations to help support fire victims and first responders in Paradise and other affected areas.

The fire started last Thursday and quickly became the state’s deadliest and most destructive blaze. As of this morning, the Camp Fire that is raging 90 miles north of Sacramento has killed at least 42 people, and fire officials expect that number to climb. More than 6,400 homes have been destroyed.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Paradise was destroyed in the fire. Still they have partnered with Bayside to serve thousands of meals to displaced residents.
