Covenanters’ Books Named ‘Resources of the Year’

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (March 6, 2019) – Two books by Covenant authors were named “Resources of the Year” by Outreach Magazine.

Whole and Reconciled, by Al Tizon, executive minister of Serve Globally, was honored in the cross-cultural/missional category. Rethinking Incarceration, by Dominique Gilliard, director of racial righteousness and reconciliation in Love Mercy Do Justice, was honored in the social issues/justice category.

The books were chosen from more than 170 resources in 11 categories published between November 1, 2017, and October 31, 2018.

Gilliard discussed the critical role churches must play in ending mass incarceration in an interview with The Covenant Companion last summer. The magazine published an article by Tizon in January 2017 that explored the book’s theme of connecting the ministry of reconciliation with our understanding of the Great Commission.
