Work with Us! Covenant Offices Seeks Creative Director, Director of Evangelism

CHICAGO (May 17, 2019)—What is God calling you to? Could it be a career with Covenant Offices? Could it be a merging of your character, your competencies, and your identity in Christ?

We invite you to peruse the Evangelical Covenant Church’s job openings and discern whether you may be called to serve with us as we catalyze 875 Covenant churches and 11 regional conferences in furthering God’s mission.

Available positions include the role of creative director, a key part of the Communications ministry, and director of evangelism, an integral role in the Make and Deepen Disciples mission priority. The Develop Leaders mission priority also seeks a director of vocational and spiritual development, Serve Globally is searching for an interim director of Covenant Kids Congo and Operations would like to hire a director of ministry services. The Evangelical Covenant Church also is searching for an executive director for its Advancement ministry.

The creative director position, says Erin Chan Ding, executive director of communications, is vital to the team.

“The creative director drives the visual and artistic storytelling of the Covenant,” Chan Ding says. “We’re looking for a collaborative servant leader who can convey ideas with crispness and connect people with clarity and purpose.”

The creative director shepherds photo, video, branding, design and social media for the Covenant’s mobile, online and print publications, including the bimonthly Covenant Companion magazine, as well as for the Evangelical Covenant Church’s mission priorities and ministry areas.

Michelle Sanchez, executive minister of Make and Deepen Disciples, says the director of evangelism will be tasked with overseeing evangelism leadership coaching, evangelism mobilization and evangelism innovation.

The person’s “mandate will be to catalyze a revival of faith sharing in the Evangelical Covenant Church and equip local churches to become communities of disciples who make disciples,” Sanchez says. “We believe we are on the brink of a fresh movement of missional discipleship and that whomever God is calling to lead as our director of evangelism will play a pivotal role in this movement.”

Those who are interested should send a resume, cover letter and any questions to hr@covchurch.org or apply online here. Job descriptions for all open positions at Covenant Offices are available at covchurch.org/careers.
