OM-DL Nominating Committee Seeks Feedback from the Covenant

October 6, 2021

The Ordered Ministry and Develop Leaders (OM-DL) Nominating Committee held an organizational meeting on September 16, 2021, and is moving forward in the nominating process. Our first in-person planning meetings will be October 20-21, 2021, to help us outline future efforts and engagements.

Develop Leaders is one of the five mission priorities of the Covenant. The Executive Minister of this priority also serves as leader of the Church’s credentialed clergy.

At the September meeting, the 20 members of the OM-DL Nominating Committee elected the following officers: Sharon Anderson (chair), Marco Ambriz (vice-chair), Randall Friesen (secretary), and Win Houwen (vice-secretary). The full nominating committee includes all elected and ex-officio members of the Board of Ordered Ministry, along with the chair of the Develop Leaders committee of the Covenant Executive Board.

As we continue this vital task of nominating a Covenant leader to lead this priority, we extend an invitation to all Covenanters to respond to the following questions before November 7, 2021.

  1. What attributes and qualities should the Executive Minister of the Ordered Ministry, Develop Leaders possess?
  2. What are the main areas/issues on the horizon that the Executive Minister of the Ordered Ministry, Develop Leaders will need to address in the next term?
  3. Other comments?

Please submit your comments via this link. If you prefer, you can submit written feedback by US postal service mail to:

We ask for your prayers as our committee begins this discernment process.

Sincerely,

Sharon Anderson
Chair, OM-DL Nominating Committee
