The C. John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction is accepting applications for its next cohort, which will hold its in-person summer intensive in Chicago July 25–31. The deadline to apply is March 31.
The program combines theory and practice as participants make their way through five courses, receive spiritual direction, meet with supervisors, and participate in peer-supervision groups. A blend of online learning throughout the year and in-person intensive courses during the summer enables students to continue working or serving in their current context while they study.
“Spiritual directors offer a gracious and loving setting where people can talk about what matters most and in doing so, become aware of the presence of God in every dimension of life,” says Rob Peterson, director of the John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction. “Learning to sit with people in such a way as a spiritual director might be the next step on your journey of faith and ministry. The Weborg Center would be delighted to walk with you on the path of becoming a qualified spiritual director.” For more information and how to apply, visit the Center for Spiritual Direction website. Financial aid and some scholarships, funded through the Lilly Endowment, are available.
