Glen Perkins, spouse of Covenant pastor Heather Perkins, passed away in Wichita, Kansas, on Saturday, April 13, 2024. He was 63.

Glen was gifted with technical skills in a variety of areas.
His career included stints in camera sales and repair, telescope/binocular repair and as a computer technician. A man of deep faith, Glen served as the director of a Christian retreat center for a number of years. He also started a business in large-format digital printing as the technology was first emerging. Following the end of his professional career, Glen continued to be available for family, friends, friends of friends, and his church to help troubleshoot whatever technology issues arose.

Glen was well known for his silly sense of humor, his vast knowledge of cartoons, and his love for ’60s and ’70s rock music. His incredible ability to retain vast amounts of useless information made him the ultimate trivia game partner. His hobbies included talking back to local meteorologists during their telecasts, arguing with the cat, Elmer, and restoring his 1972 Mercury Capri. He particularly loved to shoot the moon while playing cards, a tactic that was rarely successful.

Glen was known for his caring nature, his gentle disposition, and more than anything else, his deep love of family. He is already deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Heather; son, Adam (Shelby Barnhardt); and three siblings. A memorial service will be held at The Journey in Wichita, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to Covenant Cedars Bible Camp in Hordville, Nebraska.

Peace to his memory.
