We are pleased to announce the promotion of Nils Clauson to the position of director of Covenant World Relief and Development (CWRD). Nils began working with CWRD as the manager of global partner engagement in 2020 and later became senior manager of CWRD. In these roles, he cultivated trusted relationships with more than 30 global partners and organizations, creating effective systems to ensure partners receive necessary grants and support to further the impact of their ministries and mission.
In addition, Nils contributes his skills in communication through teaching, writing, and fundraising to effectively convey CWRD’s vision to reduce human suffering for the most vulnerable people and to support healthy communities. His passion began and grew through his seventeen years as global personnel with Serve Globally in Mexico, including four years as the liaison to CWRD for Latin America. Nils led and served in the areas of asset-based community development, healthy family ministries, disaster relief initiatives, and local church partnerships with the Covenant Church of Mexico. His skills as a bilingual Spanish speaker are a tremendous asset in communicating with many of CWRD’s partners.
