Where do you call home these days—and what does community look like for you there?

For the past year, I have been living in Chicago (just two blocks away from North Parth University/Theological Seminary). I attend Evanston Vineyard for church, but NPTS is my primary place for community.

What’s a moment when you’ve seen love between people change a situation, a team, or a relationship?

I see this every day in my relationship with my husband and among my colleagues.

What helps you stay open to loving others when life or ministry feels demanding?

When I remember the love and grace of God in the ways community has been there for me, this opens my heart to love others.

When the church truly lives out “one another,” what kind of impact do you think becomes possible?

The commitment to “one another” truly is the scaffolding for building community. When real community is built, this is the greatest witness we have in this world.

What do you like to bring to the potluck?

Metaphorically, I bring fun, but usually the sodas and drinks or sometimes potato salad. There are too many amazing cooks in my family for me to even pretend to compete with.
