One way Love Mercy Do Justice (LMDJ) lives out our mission to join God in making things right in our broken world is through our Community Development Ministry Grants.
Community Development Ministry Grants are available to churches addressing the needs of their local communities. These grants aim to strengthen and transform individuals, families, and entire neighborhoods. Whether you are starting a new ministry or enhancing an existing one, these funds will help your church answer God’s call to bring Shalom beyond its walls.
Grant Application Process (April 1–30)
- Letter of Intent (LOI) – Submit your LOI by April 24 at 3:00 p.m. via the grant portal. It will be evaluated for alignment with the LMDJ Matthew-Micah framework, as well as our grant values and guidelines. You will receive a response within 48 hours (excluding weekends), either declining your proposal or inviting you to complete the full application.
- Full Application – If approved to proceed, you must submit your completed application by April 30. Applications will be reviewed by the LMDJ Grant Advisory Committee once each year.
Funding Restrictions
Grant monies will not be allocated for capacity-building activities (e.g., training) or capital expenditures (e.g., overhead, salaries, capital improvements). All ministry initiatives must be affiliated with a local Covenant church.
Starting with the 2025 grant cycle, if an applicant has received five (5) or more Community Development Ministry Grants from LMDJ, they will no longer be eligible to apply for this grant.
